This year as our gift to Craig and Layna we are helping three disabled veterans for Christmas 2017
Ken is a 47-year-old disabled veteran who lives in Omaha.
Ken served for 10 years and traveled to several areas during his time in the service. He is currently going through dialysis three times a week at the VA. Ken has three children; a 16-year-old daughter, 18-year-old son and a 23-year-old daughter (who will be home for the holidays). Ken has requested a Christmas meal and presents for his kids. He did not want anything for himself or his wife. He said they would be happy knowing their kids were taken care.
We will be providing fixings for Christmas dinner, gift cards for the kids and a Walmart gift card that Ken will be able to use as he wishes.
Rollin is a 62-year-old disabled veteran who lives in Omaha.
Rollin served six years in the military. He currently is going through dialysis at the VA. He has four children and six grandchildren. He has one son and two grandchildren who live in Omaha. Rollin has requested Christmas gifts for his six grandchildren. He told us he did not need anything if we could provide to his grandchildren.
We will be providing Christmas gifts for the grandchildren and a Walmart gift card that Rollin will be able to use as he wishes.
Houston is a 53-year-old disabled veteran who lives in Omaha.
Houston served eight years in the Navy. He currently is going through dialysis three times a week at the VA. He has had one Kidney transplant that failed in 2008. He has three children; a 17-year-old daughter, 14-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. He also has two grandchildren. Houston has requested Christmas gifts for his three children and two grandchildren.
We will be providing Christmas gifts for the children and a gift card to Walmart that Houston will be able to use as he wishes.
